Pisces Full Moon + Saturn Rx: Ripening Karma

Uncategorized Aug 29, 2023

Pisces Full Moon
7 degrees Pisces / Virgo
August 30, 2023
6:35 pm PDT / 9:35 pm EDT

The Pisces Full Moon at 7 degrees Pisces/Virgo is a Supermoon being very close to the Earth, looming large in the sky.

Typically, a water Supermoon will evoke cascading emotional tides and while we can expect inner stirrings, the conjunction to Saturn, Lord of Karma, suggests coming to terms with reality and learning the value of boundaries. In Pisces, the Moon can be highly sensitive and the heavy presence of Saturn can often feel particularly harsh, even if the lessons are necessary for our growth.

Pisces is the most transcendent of the signs, yet Saturn insists on duty even as we yearn for escapism. The combination of Saturn-Moon, is rarely a comfortable one as the Moon is symbolic of our feelings and sensitivities. It's where we seek security, comfort and satisfaction. The ripening karma can feel poignant as emotions swell and meet with Saturn's stoic authority.

Leo Sun Square Jupiter in Taurus: Inflated Abundance

Uncategorized Aug 04, 2023

The bold Leo Sun squares abundant Jupiter in Taurus exact on August 6, suggesting an over-the-top energy for the days ahead.

The Sun in flamboyant Leo shines a vivid, brilliant light, and as it activates expansive Jupiter the sky's the limit for how much audacity we can take. At it's best, the Leo Sun can light up hearts and dazzle with their gift to inspire - but we'll want to watch out for the Lion roar if sensitive egos are triggered.

Perhaps new horizons beckon and the taste of freedom and adventure is too good to resist. It feels good to be generous, which can add to a sense of purpose and confidence.

But don't forget! An empowered Venus is retrograde in Leo, ruling Taurus and Libra. Venus in the underworld opens up shadows of the past - past loves, past desires, past patterns of relating - that may distort the ways we relate and call for deeper experiences of connection. Will she crash the Sun-Jupiter party with relationship...

Lunar Nodes into Aries + Libra: The Art of Self-Awareness

Uncategorized Jul 17, 2023

The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting. If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat.
- Sun Tzu, the Art of War

Today, July 17, 2023, the (True) Lunar Nodes shift from the Taurus-Scorpio axis where they've been for 18 months into the Aries-Libra, the axis of relating. For the next 18 months, the North Node will activate the Fire sign of Aries and the South Node will echo through the Air sign of Libra.

As eclipses are formed by lunations conjunct the Lunar Nodes, these signs are where most of the coming eclipses will fall. We actually had the first of the series of Aries-Libra eclipses starting with an Aries Solar Eclipse on April 20, 2023 at 29 Aries, the series will end with a Solar Eclipse March 29, 2025 at 9 degrees Aries.

These past 18 months, the eclipses through Taurus-Scorpio have correlated...

Sagittarius Full Moon on the Great Attractor

full moon Jun 02, 2023

As I write this a day prior to the Full Moon, the Waxing Gibbous Moon in deep Scorpio is activating a Grand Water Trine with transcendent Neptune in Pisces and cozy Venus in Cancer, exact tonight at about 8:41 pm EDT. There is something mystical and otherworldly about this Grand Water Trine, and with the Scorpio Moon, the waters draw us into the emotional depths. If we have something or someone to grieve, tonight would be an auspicious moment to let the emotional waters carry us away.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius aligns on Saturday, June 3 at 11:41 p.m. EDT 13 degrees, conjunct the Great Attractor. At it's best, Sagittarius is celebratory and enthusiastic. Ruled by Jupiter, the Moon here is attracted to optimistic and expansive possibilities. Perhaps once we've emerged from an emotional catharsis or escapist trance, the fire of adventure ignites in our hearts.

The Great Attractor at 14 Sagittarius is a highly activated degree with...

Taurus New Moon + Powerful Jupiter T-Square

Taurus New Moon
May 19, 2023
8:53 am PDT / 11:53 am EDT
28 degrees Taurus

The Taurus New Moon begins a cycle of cultivation for creativity and prosperity to flourish. Taurus is the exaltation of the Moon, where the comfort-seeking lunar goddess has an opportunity to stabilize, find satisfaction and settle in. The energetic soil in which we plant seeds is fertile for growth, in time. Patience and determination is the water that nourishes our garden for an abundant harvest.

Jupiter entered Taurus May 16 for a year-long transit and during this time, the planet of expansion, opportunity and new horizons will offer new opportunities for abundance, pleasure and creativity in our Taurus house. To learn more about what this transit means for you, order your Jupiter in Taurus reading here.

Just as Jupiter entered Taurus, it formed a square to Pluto in Aquarius, which continues through early June. When forces such as these collide, they can have extreme effects as...

Scorpio Lunar Eclipse Opposite Uranus

May 5 Full Moon @ 10:34 am PST / 1:34 pm EDT
14 Scorpio/Taurus

The penumbral lunar eclipse will begin at 11:13 a.m. EDT (1513 GMT) on Friday (May 5) and will peak at 1:24 p.m. EDT (1724 GMT). The eclipse will end at 3:31 p.m. EDT (1932 GMT) when the moon emerges from the Earth's shadow.

The May 5 Full Moon in Scorpio is a Lunar Eclipse, and the last eclipse in Scorpio for 8 years, until 2031. Those with Scorpio natal planets and angles have a special understanding of the private, even secretive nature of this sign. Scorpio values deep bonds, consolidates energy and conceals intense emotions. It's the archetypal sorceress within us.

The Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio reveals what's been lurking in the shadows such as secrets hidden from view or truths obscured from consciousness. Simmering emotional resentments can become especially difficult, if not impossible, to suppress. Many of us may even experience a dark night of the soul to deeply unearth the true purpose...

Aries Solar Eclipse Square Pluto

The New Moon at 29 Aries on April 20 is a Solar Eclipse, as it occurs only 5 degrees from the North Lunar Node. The intensified pressure of this eclipse is symbolized by a square to Pluto at 0 Aquarius, suggesting an urgency for profound transformation. Mercury in Taurus is stationary preparing to turn retrograde, indicating that this eclipse season has revelations in store.

New Moons tend to be a time of internalized alchemy, the shift from an ending to a beginning of a monthly cycle that culminates at the Full Moon. However, this New Moon being in assertive Aries and a Solar Eclipse conjunct the North Node amplifies the sense of karmic fresh starts.

The anaretic degree - 29 - of any sign signifies a sense of crisis as it lies at the threshold of the ending of one zodiac sign and the start of another. In particular, 29 of Aries is especially heated, being the fire sign associated with aggression and instinct.

Add to that Jupiter conjoined to Eris in Aries and the simmering energy...

Pluto enters Aquarius - March 23 to June 11

Uncategorized Mar 18, 2023

Pluto enters collective-orientated Aquarius on March 23 and as expected, collective eruptions are acute at the moment. Pluto represents intense forces which often manifest as power and powerlessness, and can be either compellingly creative or devastatingly destructive.

Pluto will only reach 0 Aquarius before backtracking into late Capricorn on June 11 and won't return to truly begin it's Aquarian journey until January 22, 2024. It will transit Aquarius until January 2044. During this period from March 23 to June 11, we're offered a preview of the upcoming 20 year transit of Pluto in Aquarius may bring. I'd like to reflect on some important themes to observe during this time.

Financial Crises
In my recent article on the Pluto in Capricorn Crisis I reflected upon the 2008 financial crisis that signaled the entry of Pluto into Capricorn. Now, as Pluto prepares to leave Capricorn for Aquarius, a similarly intense banking crisis is emerging, with Aquarian...

Navigating Saturn in Pisces 2023 - 2026

Uncategorized Mar 07, 2023

Saturn has entered Pisces for a 3.5 year transit that will shift the collective focus on areas of weakness that need strengthening. Pisces is a Mutable Water sign symbolic of a spectrum of associations from dreams, fantasy and mysticism to isolation, compassion and sorrows.

As Saturn, Lord of Karma, transits Pisces, the sign that contains all the karma of the zodiac, there is a sense that endings of all kinds will become more significant and poignant. Saturn blocks the ease of experience through delays or burdens so that we realize what is lacking. By honoring Saturn with discipline, work and patience, we have the opportunity to grow resilient and reap well-earned rewards.

What will Saturn have in store for its transit in Pisces through February 2026? There's a myriad of ways this can manifest, but I've listed a handful of experiences to be aware of in order to best navigate this upcoming period.

Collective Fears
Saturn has been...

Pisces New Moon | Making the Dream Real

1 degree Pisces

The coming New Moon is in Pisces
as the archetype of dreams begins a new cycle with taskmaster Saturn heavily involved. As the Sun and Moon both conjoined Saturn during the Balsamic phase before the New Moon, the shadow of Saturn looms large, requiring focus and seriousness in order to make our vision a reality. Meanwhile the siren song of Venus-Neptune emphasizes the soul's yearning to transcend disappointment and reach for the sublime.

First, let's talk about the energy of loss and resignation. In recent weeks, we saw the shock retirement announcements of women Prime Ministers Jacinda Ardern of New Zealand and Nicola Sturgeon of Scotland, both referring to the dehumanizing pressures of their political positions. As Venus exalted in Pisces conjoined Neptune, it echoed the sacrificial quality of Neptune within the feminine experience.

If we've recently...
